PokeBot RoboAPI: robot-arm AI tops GPT-6 Astra in PokeBot's own test
Why it matters
PokeBot launched RoboAPI on 30 October 2026, a publicly accessible API for robots in the physical world: it takes a robot's observations and state, follows a user's instruction and predicts the next action chunk in near real time. It is powered by Poke-Aurora, PokeBot's first world-action model, and PokeBot says a wrist-mounted action camera is enough for RoboAPI to control an arm with capable inverse kinematics (UR and Franka arms are supported). On PokeBot's own benchmark of nearly 1,000 objects and nearly 10,000 instructions, Poke-Aurora scored 86.0% on transfer and organization tasks vs 71.3% for GPT-6 Astra, and 87.7% vs 67.9% on environment interaction. Caveats: PokeBot built the benchmark itself and says real-world results may not match; the free technical preview is non-commercial.
