Ideogram launches Vector 1.0: prompt to SVG

Why it matters

Ideogram launched Ideogram Vector 1.0 on Oct 22, its first vector model. It makes logos, print designs and illustrations as clean, editable SVGs from a text prompt, or turns an existing image into a vector you can scale and refine. Unlike a normal AI image made of pixels, the SVGs stay sharp at every size, from a small label to a large poster. Every shape is editable in Illustrator, Figma or code, and Ideogram says when you swap the palette, the gradients follow. It leans on typography: Ideogram says it was first at spelling correct text in AI images, and Vector 1.0 draws wordmarks, hand lettering and labels as clean shapes. It is live in the Ideogram app, on the API and on partner platforms, with endpoints to generate SVG from a prompt and to vectorize an image. API pricing per SVG: text to vector $0.13 at low quality, $0.16 medium and $0.20 high ($0.32 high with reference images); image to vector $0.10 per image. Caveat: the samples are Ideogram's own showcase, and the API docs say grouping shapes into layers is not available yet.
